As millions of children and adults participate in the fun of Halloween on the night of October 31st around the world, few will be aware of its ancient Celtic roots in the Samhain (pronounced Sow-in) festival.

In Celtic Ireland about 2,000 years ago, Samhain was the division of the year between the lighter half (summer) and the darker half (winter). Join Pub Culture Beercations as we explore the mystical and spooky side of Ireland on this new Irish Beercation route - a spooky beercation thought up by our very own Pub Culture guide, Courtney!!

Not only does this beercation dive into Ireland's beer, whiskey, and pub scene like our standard Emerald Isle Beercation, but will also visit e haunted sites and locations in Ireland AND Northern Ireland, UK as well as stay in a haunted castle hotel, attend Galway's Macnas Halloween Parade, the Bram Stoker Festival in Dublin, and much, much, more! 

 Your Emerald Isle Beercation starts with a welcome toast, followed by a haunted walking tour of Dublin.  After our walking tour we will return to our hotel before our Group Welcome DInner that night.  After dinner you have free time to explore the spooky side of Dublin on a Friday night! 

Day 2 starts with a tour at the infamous Kilmaiham Goal, followed by a group lunch at the Guinness Storehouse.  After lunch you will have time to enjoy the Storehouse's self-guided tour, after which, the rest of your afternoon is free to enjoy Dublin as you like.  Take in a museum or two, take in the pubs, or just wander the city for some sights and shopping - its your time to enjoy!

Later that night we will take the Gravediggers Ghost Tour of Dublin!

Today we depart Dublin and make our way to Galway for the Macnas Halloween Parade!

Tonight we will stay at the Clayton Hotel Sligo. This 4-Star Hotel began its "life" as an asylum in 1855, closing in 1992. 13 years later, it reopened as a hotel.
