Today we leave Amsterdam and will spend the next two nights in Utrecht, the Netherlands, one of the countries oldest cities. Known for its medieval center and unique tree-lined canals, Utrecht is home to some of Holland's best beer bars and several breweries.
Leaving Amsterdam, we will first stop at Zaanse Schans, a neighborhood in the town of Zaandam, north of Amsterdam. Here historic windmills and distinctive green wooden houses were relocated here to recreate the look of an 18th/19th-century village. The Zaans Museum has regional costumes, model windmills and interactive exhibits and artisan workshops that demonstrate rare handicrafts such as wooden clog carving, barrel making and pewter casting.
After visiting Zaanse Schans we will make our way to Brouwerij De Molen for a brewery tour, beer tasting, and lunch before continuing on to Utrecht where after we check into our hotel the remainder of the day is free for you to explore this beautiful city!
